Method

Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and allow them to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Season the Steaks

Rub both sides of the ribeye steaks with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, and fresh rosemary.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450-500°F or 230-260°C).

  4. 4

    Grill the Steaks

Place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Rest the Steaks

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

  1. 6

    Cook the Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into quarters. Place them in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 7

    Prepare the Garlic

While the potatoes are cooking, peel the garlic cloves and add them to the pot during the last 5 minutes of cooking.

  3. 8

    Drain the Potatoes

Once the potatoes and garlic are cooked, drain them and return them to the pot.

  4. 9

    Mash the Potatoes

Add butter, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper to the pot. Mash until smooth and creamy.

  5. 10

    Serve the Mashed Potatoes

Scoop the garlic mashed potatoes onto the plates and serve alongside the grilled ribeye steaks.
