Method
Cocktail
Combine ingredients
In a mixing glass filled with ice, pour 2 oz smoked pineapple spirit, 0.75 oz rhum agricole, 0.5 oz saffron liqueur, 0.5 oz almond orgeat, 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice, and 2 dashes orange-cardamom bitters. If you prefer slightly sweeter balance, add 0.25 oz simple syrup.
Strain
Double-strain the cocktail through a julep or fine mesh strainer into the chilled coupe to remove small ice shards and any pulp, giving a silky, clear pour.
Garnish & Finish
Express oils
Hold the lemon twist and orange peel over the cocktail and gently squeeze to express the citrus oils across the surface of the drink. Run the orange peel edge briefly along a small flame if you want a subtle flamed orange aroma (optional and do so carefully).
Apply sfumato fragrance
Spritz one short burst of the sfumato fragrance over the cocktail from about 8–12 inches away so the mist settles on the surface and around the rim for an immediate aromatic hit. If using a smoking gun, cover the glass with a lid, fill briefly with smoke, let sit 10–12 seconds, then remove the lid to release a drifting smoky scent.
Finish and serve
Place the expressed lemon twist on the rim or float it gently on the surface. Serve immediately so the guest experiences the layered aromas: smoked pineapple spirit, saffron & almond mid-notes, and the orange-cardamom bitters accentuated by the sfumato mist.
