Method
Açaí Sorbet Base
Prepare frozen fruit
If your frozen fruit pieces are large, let them sit at room temperature for 2–3 minutes to slightly soften. This helps the blender process them evenly.
Blend sorbet
In a high-speed blender or food processor, add the frozen açaí purée, frozen mixed berries, frozen banana, almond milk, and honey. If using protein powder, add it here. Pulse to combine, then blend on high until the mixture is thick and smooth, scraping down the sides as needed. The texture should be spoonable (like soft-serve). If too thick, add up to 1–2 tablespoons (15–30 ml) more almond milk; if too thin, add a few more frozen berries or banana slices.
Toppings Assembly
Arrange granola and fruit
Sprinkle the granola evenly over one side of the açaí base. Arrange sliced fresh banana, strawberries, and blueberries in separate clusters or rows on top of the sorbet for a visually appealing bowl.
Add coconut and seeds
Sprinkle the shredded coconut and chia seeds over the bowl for texture and flavor. If using hemp seeds, add them now.
Finish and garnish
Drizzle the raw honey over the toppings (adjust amount to taste). Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
Serving and Storage
Serve immediately with a spoon. If you need to store, cover tightly and freeze for up to 24 hours; allow to sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes and stir before serving to soften.
