Method

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  3. 3

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

  4. 4

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

  5. 5

Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  6. 6

Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

  7. 7

Spread the cookie dough in a greased 12-inch pizza pan or baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the center is still soft.

  8. 8

Allow the cookie to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before serving.

Assembly

  1. 9

    Scoop Ice Cream

Using an ice cream scoop, place three generous scoops of your favorite ice cream on top of the warm cookie.

  2. 10

    Drizzle Chocolate Syrup

Drizzle chocolate syrup over the ice cream generously.

  3. 11

    Add Cherries

Top each scoop of ice cream with a maraschino cherry.

  4. 12

    Serve Immediately

Serve the warm cookie sundae immediately and enjoy!
