Method
Cooking the Fries
- 1
Prepare the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 2
Fry the Fries
Carefully add the frozen French fries to the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pot. Fry them for about 5-7 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove them from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Assembling the Loaded Fries
- 3
Layer the Toppings
Once the fries are cooked and drained, transfer them to a large serving platter. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the hot fries, followed by the crispy bacon bits and sliced jalapeños.
- 4
Melt the Cheese
Place the assembled fries in an oven preheated to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 5
Garnish and Serve
Remove the fries from the oven. Drizzle sour cream over the top and sprinkle with chopped green onions before serving.
