Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Method

Grilled Cheese Sandwich

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread and Cheese

Take two slices of bread and place a slice of cheddar cheese on one slice.

  2. 2

    Butter the Bread

Spread 1 tablespoon of butter evenly on the outer side of each slice of bread.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Sandwich

Place the cheese slice on top of the unbuttered side of one slice of bread and cover it with the other slice, buttered side facing out.

  4. 4

    Grill the Sandwich

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the skillet and grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Fries

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to resemble fries.

  2. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan or pot, heat 2 cups of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  3. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches, frying them for about 5-7 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.

  4. 8

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries using a slotted spoon and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Sprinkle with salt while they are still hot.
