Method

Prepare the Patty

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 1 inch thick.

  3. 3

    Chill Patties

Place the patties on a plate and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes to help them hold their shape while cooking.

Cook the Patty

  1. 4

    Preheat Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 5

    Cook Patties

Place the chilled patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  3. 6

    Check Temperature

Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C) for safe consumption.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 7

    Toast Buns

Optional: Toast the burger buns on the grill or skillet for a minute until golden.

  2. 8

    Layer Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a cooked patty, a slice of tomato, pickles, and your choice of ketchup and mustard.

  3. 9

    Top and Serve

Place the top half of the bun on each burger, serve immediately, and enjoy!
