Pulled Pork Preparation

Season the Pork
Rub the pork shoulder with brown sugar, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper on all sides.

Prepare the Slow Cooker
Place chopped onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.

Cook the Pork
Place the seasoned pork shoulder on top of the onions and garlic. Drizzle with apple cider vinegar and cover with BBQ sauce. Cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shreds.

Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix with the sauce.
Coleslaw Preparation

Prepare the Vegetables
Shred the green cabbage and carrot using a grater or food processor.

Mix the Dressing
In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Combine and Chill
Add the shredded cabbage and carrot to the dressing and mix well. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.

Toast the Buns
If desired, lightly toast the burger buns in a toaster or on a skillet.

Assemble the Sandwich
Layer the shredded pulled pork onto the bottom half of each bun. Top with coleslaw and add pickles if desired. Place the top half of the bun on each sandwich.
