Method
Smoothie Preparation
- 1
Assemble ingredients
Measure and assemble all smoothie components so everything is ready. Use a frozen banana for best thickness; if banana is fresh, add more ice.
- 2
- 3
Add powders and flavorings
Add 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder and 1 scoop protein powder (approx. 24 g protein). Add 5 g creatine monohydrate on top of the liquids so it dissolves evenly.
- 4
Add solids and sweetener
Add 1 frozen banana, 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter, and 1 tablespoon agave syrup into the blender. The banana and peanut butter provide body and flavor.
- 5
Add ice (optional)
Add 4 ice cubes if you prefer a thicker, colder smoothie. If your banana is frozen, you can omit or reduce ice.
- 6
Blend
Secure the lid and blend on high for 45–60 seconds, or until completely smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides with a spatula once if needed, then blend an additional 10–15 seconds.
- 7
Check texture and sweetness
Taste and check the texture. If too thick, add 1–2 tablespoons of almond milk and blend briefly. If you want it sweeter, add up to 1 additional teaspoon agave and blend again.
- 8
Serve
Pour the smoothie into a 16–20 oz glass. Garnish with 1 teaspoon dark chocolate shavings and 1 teaspoon crushed roasted peanuts, if desired.
