Instructions for Key Lime Pie

1

Prepare the crust

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove and let cool.

2

Make the filling

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks until smooth. Gradually add the sweetened condensed milk and continue to whisk until well combined. Stir in the key lime juice and lime zest until fully incorporated.

3

Bake the pie

Pour the filling into the cooled graham cracker crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the filling is set but still slightly jiggly in the center. Remove from the oven and let it cool to room temperature.

4

Chill and serve

Once cooled, refrigerate the pie for at least 3 hours or until fully chilled. Before serving, top with whipped cream and garnish with lime slices as desired.
