Sparkling Water

Method

Sparkling Water

  1. 1

Chill a clean glass in the refrigerator for a few minutes or fill it with ice briefly, then discard ice water. A chilled glass helps keep the water fizzy longer.

  2. 2

If using ice, add 2–3 ice cubes to the glass. If you prefer no dilution, skip the ice and keep the water very cold.

  3. 3

Open a 330 ml bottle or can of cold sparkling water carefully to preserve carbonation. Pour the sparkling water slowly down the side of the glass to minimize foam and loss of fizz.

  4. 4

If desired, garnish with a lemon or lime wedge: squeeze the wedge lightly over the glass to release a few drops of juice, then drop it in or serve on the rim.

  5. 5

Serve immediately to enjoy maximum effervescence. If not consumed right away, reseal the bottle or cover the glass to retain carbonation as long as possible.
