Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, sesame oil, and rice vinegar. Mix well until the sugar is dissolved.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Ribs

Place the pork spare ribs in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F).

  4. 4

    Bake the Ribs

Remove the ribs from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and place them on a baking sheet lined with foil. Bake in the preheated oven for about 2 hours, basting with the reserved marinade every 30 minutes.

  5. 5

    Caramelize the Ribs

Increase the oven temperature to 220°C (428°F). Brush the ribs with additional marinade and bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until the ribs are caramelized and sticky.

  6. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
