Fit Turkey Wrap

In a large brew kettle, heat 15 cups of water to about 165°F (74°C). Add 6 cups of Pilsner Malt and stir well. Maintain the temperature at around 150°F (65°C) for 60 minutes.

Mashing

After mashing, sparge the grains with hot water to collect about 6-7 cups of wort in your kettle.

Sparging

Bring the wort to a boil and add 1 tablespoon of Hallertau Hops. Boil for 60 minutes, adding the 1 tablespoon of Saaz Hops in the last 15 minutes.

Boiling

After the boil is complete, cool the wort quickly to around 70°F (21°C) using an immersion chiller or an ice bath.

Cooling

Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermentation vessel and pitch 1 tablespoon of Lager Yeast. Seal the vessel and allow it to ferment for about 1-2 weeks at around 50°F (10°C).

Fermentation

Once fermentation is complete, dissolve 0.5 cups of priming sugar in 1 cup of boiling water. Add this mixture to your bottling bucket, then siphon the beer into the bottles, leaving some space at the top.

Bottling

Cap the bottles and let them carbonate at room temperature for about 1-2 weeks.

Carbonation

Once carbonated, chill the bottles in the refrigerator. Serve cold and enjoy your homemade Stella Artios Pilsner!
