Cooking Directions
Prepare the Turkey
Thaw the turkey if it's frozen. Remove the giblets and pat the turkey dry with paper towels.
Make the Marinade
In a bowl, mix together the Cajun seasoning, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, lemon juice, and chopped parsley to create a marinade.
Marinate the Turkey
Rub the marinade all over the turkey, making sure to get under the skin and inside the cavity. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Roast the Turkey
Place the marinated turkey in a roasting pan and roast in the preheated oven for about 13-15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
Rest and Serve
Once cooked, remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for 20-30 minutes before carving. Serve with your favorite sides.
