1

Prepare glass

Chill a coupe or Nick & Nora glass by filling with ice and setting aside while you build the cocktail (about 3–5 minutes).

2

Measure and combine

Discard the ice from the chilled glass. In a cocktail shaker add 1.5 oz Slane Irish Whiskey, 0.75 oz Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur, 0.25 oz allspice dram, 2 dashes orange bitters, and 0.5 oz heavy cream.

3

Dry shake (optional)

If you want a creamier, slightly foamy top, seal the shaker and shake vigorously without ice for 10–12 seconds to emulsify the cream with the spirits.

4

Shake with ice

Add 6 ice cubes to the shaker, reseal, and shake hard for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is very cold to the touch and the liquid is well chilled and slightly diluted.

5

Fine strain

Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe or Nick & Nora glass using a Hawthorne or Boston strainer with a fine mesh strainer to remove small ice shards, ensuring a silky texture.

6

Garnish and serve

Express an orange twist over the surface to release the oils, run the twist around the rim, and drop it into the drink as a garnish. Serve immediately.
