Method
Berry Base
Make strawberry puree
Combine the hulled fresh strawberries, granulated sugar, and fresh lemon juice in a blender. Blend on high until smooth, about 30–45 seconds. If you prefer a smoother puree, strain through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing with a spatula to remove seeds. Yield: about 3/4 cup puree.
Taste the puree and adjust sweetness with an extra 1/2 tablespoon sugar if needed. Chill the puree in the refrigerator while you prepare the rest.
Citrus Lemonade
If using store-bought lemonade, chill beforehand. If making quick fresh lemonade: combine 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice, 1/2 cup water, and 1/4 cup simple syrup (or to taste). Chill briefly. Measure 1 cup total for the recipe.
Sparkling Mix
Chill both Sprite and club soda. Keep them refrigerated until ready to build the drink so the bubbles remain lively.
Assembly & Garnish
Fill two tall glasses (or one large pitcher) with ice cubes, dividing ice between them.
Divide the chilled strawberry puree between the glasses (about 3–4 tablespoons puree per glass if making two servings).
Add 1/2 cup chilled lemonade to each glass (or pour 1 cup lemonade into the pitcher). Gently stir upward once to mix puree and lemonade without completely eliminating some of the puree’s texture.
Garnish each glass with strawberry slices, a lemon wheel on the rim, and 3 mint leaves. Serve immediately.
Optional: For a sweeter, fruitier presentation drizzle an extra teaspoon of puree over the top before garnishing.
