- 5
Stir
Stir the mixture gently for 20–30 seconds with a bar spoon until well chilled and slightly diluted (should reduce temperature and dilute by about 20–25%).
- 6
Prepare glass
Discard the chilling ice or water from the old fashioned glass. Place a large ice cube in the chilled glass.
- 7
Strain
Strain the stirred cocktail from the mixing glass into the old fashioned glass over the large ice cube.
- 8
Express orange peel
Take the orange peel and hold it with the outside facing down over the drink. Give a firm squeeze to express the oils across the surface, then rub the peel around the glass rim and drop it into the drink as garnish.
- 9
Serve
Serve immediately. Optionally, add an extra dash of orange bitters on top for aroma.
