Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Green Beans

Wash the green beans thoroughly under running water. Trim the ends of the beans with a knife or kitchen scissors.

2

Blanch the Beans

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and blanch for 3-4 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and immediately transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.

3

Sauté the Garlic

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.

4

Cook the Green Beans

Remove the green beans from the ice water and drain well. Add them to the skillet with the garlic, and toss to coat. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5

Finish and Serve

Remove the skillet from heat and drizzle with lemon juice. Toss to combine. If desired, sprinkle sliced almonds on top before serving.
