Method
Preparation
Chill glass
Place the Nick & Nora or coupe glass in the freezer for at least 10 minutes or fill with ice water while preparing ingredients to thoroughly chill.
Measure out spirits and bitters so they are ready at the bar station.
Building & Stirring
Combine ingredients
Add 2 oz Wayward Distillery Gin, 0.5 oz dry vermouth and 2 dashes orange bitters into the mixing glass.
Add ice
Fill the mixing glass with large ice cubes so the liquid is fully covered; large cubes minimize dilution and chill quickly.
Strain
Discard ice or water from the chilled serving glass. Using your strainer, double-strain (if desired) the stirred cocktail into the chilled Nick & Nora or coupe glass.
Garnish & Serve
Optional cherry
If using, skewer a Luxardo cherry and rest it in the glass or place it on a pick across the rim as an accompaniment.
Serve immediately. Recommend pairing with light seafood or charcuterie; enjoy responsibly.
