Preparation Instructions

1

Prepare the Dough

In a small saucepan, heat the whole milk and butter over low heat until warm and the butter is melted. Let it cool slightly.

2

Activate the Yeast

In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk mixture with the active dry yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Allow to sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.

3

Mix the Ingredients

Add the remaining sugar, eggs, salt, and 2 cups of flour to the yeast mixture. Mix until well combined. Gradually add the remaining flour, 1 cup at a time, until a soft dough forms.

4

Knead the Dough

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

5

First Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1-2 hours.

6

Shape the Rolls

After the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place them in a greased baking dish.

7

Second Rise

Cover the rolls with a damp cloth and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes until puffy.

8

Bake the Rolls

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown on top.

9

Cool and Serve

Remove the rolls from the oven, let them cool slightly in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve warm.
