Method

Champagne & Juice

1

Chill ingredients

Place the bottle of sparkling wine and the orange juice in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving. A Mimosa is best served well chilled (around 40°F / 4–7°C).

2

Prepare glassware

Use chilled champagne flutes if possible. Rinse the flutes briefly with cold water and invert on a towel in the fridge or freezer for 5–10 minutes to chill quickly.

3

Measure and pour

Fill each flute approximately 1/2 full with chilled sparkling wine (about 1/4 cup per serving if making multiple). Then gently pour chilled orange juice to fill the remainder of the glass, aiming for a 1:1 ratio (equal parts sparkling wine and orange juice). Pour the juice slowly over the back of a spoon or down the side of the glass to preserve bubbles.

4

Serve immediately

Do not stir. Serve the Mimosa right away so it stays fizzy and bright.

Garnish (optional)

5

Garnish each flute with an orange wheel slipped onto the rim or a thin orange twist laid across the top. For a sweeter presentation, add a halved strawberry to the rim or drop one into the glass. Serve immediately.
