1

Chill glass

Place an old-fashioned or rocks glass in the freezer for 5 minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to chill the glass.

2

Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz Casamigos Reposado, 0.75 oz Aperol, 0.5 oz St-Germain, 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice, 0.25 oz simple syrup, and 2 dashes of orange bitters (if using).

3

Add ice and shake

Fill the shaker with about 1 cup of ice. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is well chilled and slightly frosted.

4

Prepare serving glass

Discard the ice water or remove the glass from the freezer. Add 1/2 cup fresh ice to the chilled rocks glass.

5

Strain and serve

Double-strain the cocktail over the ice in the prepared glass (use a Hawthorne strainer and, optionally, a fine mesh strainer to catch small shards).

6

Garnish

Express a lemon twist over the drink by holding the twist skin-side down above the glass and giving it a sharp squeeze to release oils, then rub the rim with the peel and drop it in (or rest a lemon wheel on the rim).

7

Final note

Serve immediately. The balance of Reposado's warmth, Aperol's bitter-sweetness and St-Germain's floral notes plus a bright lemon lift makes a versatile aperitif-style cocktail. Adjust simple syrup (+0.25 oz) if you prefer slightly sweeter.
