Prepare glass
Select a large wine glass (or stemmed balloon glass). Fill the glass generously with ice cubes so it becomes well chilled.
Build the spritz
Pour 3 oz chilled Prosecco into the ice-filled glass first. Add 2 oz Aperol directly on top of the Prosecco. Finish by adding 1 oz chilled soda water.
Combine gently
Stir the mixture once gently with a bar spoon or stirrer for 3–4 revolutions to combine the ingredients without flattening the carbonation.
Garnish and serve
Slip one fresh orange slice or wedge into the glass or onto the rim as a garnish. Serve immediately while cold and effervescent.
