Method
Prep & Rim
- 1
Prepare glass rims
Pour the 0.5 cup coarse salt or Tajín onto a shallow plate. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of each serving glass, then dip the rim into the salt or Tajín to coat. Set glasses aside to dry slightly.
- 2
Slice the limes into wheels and oranges into slices. Hull and halve strawberries if using. If using jalapeño, slice thinly and set aside.
Make Punch Base
- 3
In a large pitcher or punch bowl, combine 2 cups blanco tequila, 1 cup triple sec (or Cointreau), 1 cup fresh lime juice, 1 cup fresh orange juice, and 1 cup simple syrup. Stir thoroughly to integrate the alcohol and syrups.
- 4
Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness or acidity: add additional simple syrup or agave (up to 0.5 cup more) if you prefer sweeter; add up to 1/4 cup more lime juice for more tartness.
- 5
If you want a lighter, fizzy punch, refrigerate the base until chilled, then just before serving stir in 2 cups club soda. If serving immediately and you want more fizz, add the soda at the table.
Assemble Punch Bowl
- 6
- 7
Pour the chilled margarita punch base over the ice and fruit. Gently stir to combine and chill the punch thoroughly.
- 8
Top with club soda if you didn’t already add it to the base for a bit of brightness and gentle fizz. Stir once gently to incorporate.
Serve
- 9
Fill each rimmed glass with fresh ice (1–2 scoops). Pour punch into glasses, making sure each serving gets fruit slices. If desired, float an extra orange slice or a strawberry half on top of each glass.
- 10
For a stronger orange aroma, float 1 tablespoon triple sec or Cointreau on each glass as a floater. For a sweeter or smoother variant, drizzle 1 teaspoon agave over each serving.

Storage & Notes
- 12
Leftover punch (without soda or ice) will keep covered in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours. Add fresh club soda and ice just before serving again. If you used fresh fruit, consume sooner (within 24 hours) for best texture and flavor.
- 13
To scale the recipe: per serving (about 6–8 oz including ice and soda) plan roughly 3 oz tequila, 1.5 oz triple sec, 1.5 oz combined fresh juices, and 0.75 oz simple syrup.
