Drink

Method

Prepare & Build

1

Chill mug

Place the copper mug in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water for 1–2 minutes then discard. A very cold mug keeps the cocktail crisp.

2

Fill the chilled mule mug about 2/3 full with fresh cubed ice (approximately 1 cup). This chills and dilutes the drink properly.

3

Pour 2 oz Wheatley vodka over the ice.

4

Add 1/2 oz (about 15 ml) freshly squeezed lime juice. For best flavor, roll the lime on the counter to loosen juices, then cut and squeeze.

5

Top with approximately 4 oz chilled ginger beer. Pour gently so it retains carbonation.

6

Stir gently with a bar spoon or a short stirrer 4–6 times to combine without flattening the ginger beer.

Garnish & Serve

7

Garnish with a lime wedge or wheel on the rim. If using, slap the mint sprig once between your palms to release aromatics and tuck it beside the lime (optional).

8

Serve immediately with a short straw. Encourage the drinker to sip from the mug to enjoy the chilled copper and effervescence.
