Method

Crab Cake Preparation

1

Prepare the Crab Cake Mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, chopped green onion, beaten egg, salt, and black pepper. Gently fold in the bread crumbs until everything is well mixed.

2

Form the Crab Cakes

Shape the mixture into patties, about 1 inch thick. You should be able to make about 4 crab cakes. Place them on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape.

3

Cook the Crab Cakes

Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the crab cakes and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

4

Assemble the Sandwich

Toast your sandwich buns if desired. Place a crab cake on the bottom half of each bun. Add your favorite toppings such as lettuce, tomato, and tartar sauce, then top with the other half of the bun. Serve immediately.
