Method

Prepare glass

1

Select and chill glass (optional)

Choose a clean highball or Collins glass. For best cold service, chill the glass in the freezer for 10–15 minutes or fill with ice water while you prepare other items, then discard water.

2

Fill the glass about three-quarters full with fresh ice cubes. Use more or less ice to preference; crushed ice can be used but will dilute more quickly.

Pour Coke

3

Open a chilled 12 oz bottle or can of Coca‑Cola just before pouring to retain carbonation.

4

Tilt the glass to about 45 degrees and gently pour the Coke down the side of the glass to minimize foaming. Once the glass is about three-quarters full, straighten the glass and finish pouring to just below the rim, leaving room for garnish if desired.

5

If excessive foam forms, wait 15–30 seconds and allow foam to settle before topping up slowly.

Garnish and serve

6

Optional: squeeze a lime wedge or drop a lemon slice into the drink for a citrus accent, or serve the wedge on the rim.

7

Serve immediately with a straw or stirring stick. Enjoy cold.
