Method
Cocktail
- 1
Muddle jalapeño
In a cocktail shaker, add 3 fresh jalapeño slices. Gently muddle 6–8 times to release aroma and a touch of heat. Do not over-muddle or the drink will become too spicy.
- 2
Combine ingredients
To the shaker with muddled jalapeño, add 2 oz Jose Silver Tequila, 0.75 oz Triple Sec, 2 oz margarita mix, 0.75 oz desert pear syrup, and 0.5 oz fresh lime juice.
- 3
Add ice and shake
Add about 1 cup of ice to the shaker. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is cold to the touch and well‑diluted (roughly 10–15% dilution).
- 4
Strain
Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared glass (see Rim & Serve) to remove jalapeño solids and small ice chips. Use a fine mesh strainer in addition to the shaker strainer for a smoother drink.
Garnish & Rim
- 5
Prepare rim
On a small plate, pour 1 tablespoon Tajín and optionally mix in 1/4 teaspoon coarse salt. Rub the lime wedge around the outer rim of a rocks or coupe glass (or margarita glass) to moisten it, then dip the rim into the Tajín mixture, twisting to coat evenly. Tap off excess.
