Crispy fried oysters served with a zesty dipping sauce, perfect for seafood lovers.
Rinse the fresh oysters under cold water. If they are in the shell, shuck them carefully, keeping the meat intact.
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, cornmeal, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.
Dip each oyster into the egg and milk mixture, then dredge them in the flour and cornmeal mixture until well coated.
In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
Carefully add the coated oysters to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Serve the fried oysters hot with your choice of dipping sauce, such as tartar sauce or hot sauce.
