Build & Stir
Chill an old-fashioned glass by filling it with ice water while you prepare the drink. In a mixing glass, add 2 oz Bully Boy Straight Bourbon, 0.25 oz simple syrup, and 2 dashes of Angostura bitters. Fill the mixing glass with plenty of ice.

Stir & Strain
Stir the mixture briskly but smoothly for about 20–30 seconds (15–20 full revolutions) until the outside of the mixing glass feels very cold and the drink is properly diluted (roughly 20–25% dilution for a stirred spirit cocktail).

Prepare Glass
Dump the ice water from the chilled old-fashioned glass. Place a single large ice cube or sphere into the glass.

Finish & Garnish
Strain the stirred bourbon mixture over the large ice cube in the chilled glass. Express the oils from an orange peel over the surface by holding the peel skin-side down about 2–3 inches above the glass and giving it a firm twist, then run the rim with the peel and drop it into the drink as garnish.

Serve immediately. Optionally, provide a small spoon or stirrer so the drinker can re-mix as the large ice slowly melts.
