Strawberry Shake

Enjoy a creamy and refreshing regular-sized strawberry shake made with ripe strawberries and smooth vanilla ice cream.

Harvest the Xarel·lo grapes from the vine, ensuring they are ripe and free from any rot or damage. Remove the stems and rinse the grapes thoroughly under cool water.

Harvest and Prepare Grapes

In a clean fermentation vessel, crush the grapes gently to release their juice. You can use your hands, a potato masher, or a wine press for this step.

After crushing, add 500 ml of water and 100 g of sugar to the grape juice and mix thoroughly. The sugar will help in fermentation and enhance the flavor.

Sprinkle the 5 g of wine yeast over the mixture and stir gently to incorporate. This yeast will convert the sugars into alcohol during fermentation.

Cover the fermentation vessel with a clean cloth and secure it with a string. Place the vessel in a cool, dark place for 7-10 days. During this time, stir the mixture daily to ensure even fermentation.

Fermentation Process

After 7-10 days, strain the liquid from the solids using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth. Pour the liquid into a clean fermentation vessel, leaving sediment behind.

If you wish to preserve the wine, add 1 tsp of sulfites to the strained liquid. This will help prevent unwanted bacteria and oxidation.

Seal the fermentation vessel with an airlock and set it aside for an additional 2-3 weeks. This will allow the wine to clarify and develop its flavors.

Secondary Fermentation

Once fermentation is complete and the wine is clear, carefully siphon the wine into clean bottles, leaving some space at the top. Seal the bottles with corks.

Bottling

Store the bottled wine in a cool, dark place for at least 3 months to develop its flavors further before tasting.
