Cocktail

Method

Garnish & Rimming

1

Prepare Glass

Chill a coupe or rocks glass in the freezer for a few minutes or fill with ice water while you prepare the cocktail. When ready, discard ice water and dry the rim lightly.

2

Run the lime wedge around the outer rim of the glass to moisten it, then dip the rim into the coarse salt so the salt adheres evenly. Set the glass aside.

Cocktail

3

Fill a cocktail shaker with fresh ice (about 6 medium cubes).

4

Add blanco tequila (2 oz), triple sec (1 oz), fresh lime juice (1 oz), and agave syrup (1/2 oz) to the shaker.

5

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty and well-chilled. This both chills and dilutes the drink to the correct balance.

6

Strain the contents through a fine strainer (or the shaker strainer) into the prepared chilled coupe or rocks glass. For a slightly colder, slushier drink, double-strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass.

7

Garnish with a lime wheel on the rim and serve immediately.

8

Taste note: If you prefer sweeter, add up to 1/4 oz more agave syrup and stir or briefly shake again with fresh ice.
