Preparation Steps

1

Prepare the Wonton Strips

Cut the wonton wrappers into thin strips. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the wonton strips until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, then set aside.

2

Make the Ginger Soy Glaze

In a small bowl, mix together sesame oil, soy sauce, and grated ginger. Set aside.

3

Sear the Ahi Tuna

Season the Ahi tuna steaks with salt and pepper. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add sesame seeds to a plate and press each side of the tuna steaks into the seeds to coat. Sear each steak for about 1-2 minutes per side for a rare finish, or longer for desired doneness.

4

Prepare the Wasabi Cream

In a small bowl, mix together the wasabi paste and sour cream until well combined. Adjust wasabi to taste.

5

Assemble the Plate

Place a serving of seaweed salad on each plate. Top with sliced Ahi tuna, drizzle with the ginger soy glaze, and add a dollop of wasabi cream. Garnish with crispy wonton strips.
