Kung Pao Brussels Sprouts
Method
Preparation
- 1
Roast the Brussels Sprouts
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Trim and halve the Brussels sprouts, then place them on a baking sheet. Drizzle with sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Roast for 20-25 minutes until golden and tender.
- 2
Prepare the Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, let it simmer until it turns a deep golden brown. Add the soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and crushed Chile de Arbol. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is well combined.
- 3
Combine and Serve
Once the Brussels sprouts are roasted, remove them from the oven and toss them with the brown butter sauce. Add the chopped pistachios and mix well. Serve warm as a side dish.
