Jarritos Sidral Agua Fresca Base
Optional Garnish & Serving
Method
Jarritos Sidral Agua Fresca Base
Make apple purée
Place the peeled, cored and chopped apple in a blender or food processor with 1/2 cup of the cold water and the granulated sugar. Blend until very smooth, about 30–45 seconds. If mixture is too thick, add up to another 1/4 cup water to reach a smoother purée consistency.
Combine with liquids
Pour the apple purée into a 1‑liter pitcher. Add the remaining cold water (about 1 3/4 cups left after purée adjustment) and the fresh lime juice. Stir until evenly combined.
Add Jarritos Sidral
Just before serving, gently pour the 2 cups of chilled Jarritos Sidral (apple soda) into the pitcher to preserve carbonation. Stir lightly once to incorporate; avoid vigorous stirring which will flatten the soda.
Taste and adjust: if you prefer a sweeter agua fresca, dissolve another 1/2 tablespoon sugar in a teaspoon of warm water and stir it in. If too sweet, add up to 1/4 cup more cold water to mellow the sweetness.
Optional Garnish & Serving
Fill four tall glasses with ice cubes (about 1/2 cup ice per glass).
Divide the agua fresca among the glasses. Garnish each glass with an apple slice and a mint sprig. Serve with a lime wedge on the side for squeezing.
If making ahead: prepare the apple purée and combine with cold water and lime up to 6 hours in advance and keep refrigerated. Add Jarritos Sidral and ice just before serving to preserve fizz.
