OLD FASHIONED

Light-bodied, fresh, fruity, and spicy character. Great for summer red wine.

If the bottle is at room temperature, place the Le Farghe Bardolino 2022 in an ice bath: fill a bucket or large container with 4 cups of ice and 1 liter of cold water, then submerge the bottle for 10–15 minutes. Alternatively, put the bottle in the refrigerator for 1.5–2 hours to reach the ideal chilled temperature (about 12–14°C / 54–57°F). Avoid over-chilling below ~10°C which can mute aromas.

Chill the Bottle

Remove the bottle from the ice bath or fridge. Wipe dry, then open the bottle gently. Smell briefly to ensure the wine is fresh and shows expected fruity and spicy aromatics.

Open and Check

Pour the chilled Bardolino into large wine glasses, filling to about one-third full (approximately 150 ml / 5 oz per glass) to allow the aromas to develop. Serve immediately.

Pouring

Select large red wine glasses to allow the light, fruity aromatics to concentrate. If desired, add a thin orange slice or twist on the rim of each glass and/or a small mint sprig to brighten the presentation and complement the wine’s fresh profile.

For a lighter, fizzy summer option: fill a large glass with 2–3 ice cubes, pour 120–150 ml (4–5 oz) of chilled Le Farghe Bardolino, then top with about 60–75 ml (2–2.5 oz) club soda or sparkling water (roughly a 3:1 or 2:1 wine-to-soda ratio depending on preference). Stir gently once. Garnish with a lemon wheel and serve.
