Fruits

Spiced Honey

Method

Preparation of Fruits

1

Wash and Cut Fruits

Rinse the strawberries and blueberries under cold water. Remove the stems from the strawberries and slice them into quarters. For the kiwi, peel the skin and slice them into rounds. Peel and dice the mango into cubes. Cut the pineapple into small chunks. Finally, slice the bananas into thin rounds.

2

Combine Fruits

In a large mixing bowl, combine all the prepared fruits: strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, mango, pineapple, and banana. Gently toss the fruits together to mix evenly.

Preparation of Spiced Honey

3

Mix Spiced Honey

In a small saucepan, combine the honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract. Heat over low-medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the honey is warm and all spices are well incorporated. Do not boil.

4

Cool the Mixture

Once the honey is mixed and warm, remove it from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.

Assembly

5

Dress the Salad

Drizzle the spiced honey over the mixed fruits in the bowl. Use a spatula to gently fold the honey into the fruits, ensuring all pieces are lightly coated.

6

Serve

Transfer the fruit salad into a serving bowl or individual dishes. Serve immediately, or chill in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes before serving for a refreshing treat.
