Strawberry Shake

Enjoy a creamy and refreshing regular-sized strawberry shake made with ripe strawberries and smooth vanilla ice cream.

Strawberry Shake, regular size

Start by heating 2 cups of water in a large pot. Once heated, add the barley malt and caramel malt, stirring well. Let this mixture steep for 30 minutes.

Prepare the Brew

After steeping, bring the mixture to a boil and add the hops. Boil for 15 minutes while stirring occasionally.

Add Hops

Remove from heat and cool the wort quickly by placing the pot in an ice bath. Once cooled to room temperature, transfer to a fermentation vessel.

Cool the Wort

Add the yeast and stir to combine. Seal the fermentation vessel with an airlock and let it sit in a cool, dark place for 1-2 weeks until fermentation is complete.

Fermentation

Once fermentation is complete, mix in the sugar for carbonation. Bottle the beer in sanitized bottles and cap them. Let them carbonate at room temperature for another week.

Bottling

Chill the bottles in the refrigerator for a few hours before serving. Enjoy your homemade Menabrea Ambrata!
