Cocktail

  1. 1

    Build the drink

Fill a large wine glass or double old-fashioned glass with ice cubes until nearly full. Pour 1 oz Ottos Vermouth over the ice, then add 1 oz Campari. Give the mixture a gentle stir (about 8–10 seconds) to chill and lightly integrate the two fortified components.

  2. 2

    Top with sparkle

Slowly top the glass with 3 oz chilled non-alcoholic sparkling wine. Pour gently over the back of a spoon or down the inside of the glass to preserve carbonation and produce a layered, effervescent finish.

  3. 3

    Garnish and serve

Express an orange twist over the drink by holding the peel with the outer (colored) side facing down and giving it a quick squeeze to release oils. Rub the twist around the rim, then drop it into the glass as garnish. Serve immediately with a short stirring spoon so the guest may adjust dilution if desired.

  4. 4

Notes: If Ottos Vermouth is richly sweet, use a drier vermouth or reduce vermouth to 3/4 oz and increase sparkling wine to 3.25 oz for balance. For a more bitter-forward profile, add 1/4 oz extra Campari.
