Soda (single serving)
Pitcher / Party scale (optional, 8 servings)
Method
Soda (single serving)
Chill bottle or can
If not already cold, chill the Pepsi in the refrigerator for at least 1–2 hours. Cold soda tastes best and retains carbonation.
Prepare glass
Select a tall glass. Add about 6 ice cubes to the glass (adjust to preference).
Garnish (optional)
Squeeze a lemon or lime wedge over the soda and drop the wedge into the glass if desired. Add a maraschino cherry on top or on a pick for a retro touch.
Serve
Serve immediately with a straw or stirring spoon. If foam builds, wait 15–30 seconds for it to settle before serving.
Pitcher / Party scale (optional, 8 servings)
Chill
Chill the Pepsi bottles or cans in the refrigerator until cold (1–2 hours) or use refrigerated bottles directly.
Prepare pitcher
Place a large pitcher in the fridge to chill briefly if possible. Add about 48 ice cubes to an ice bucket or keep ice on the side; adding too much ice in the pitcher will dilute quickly.
Pour soda into pitcher
Open bottles or cans and very slowly pour a total of 96 fl oz of Pepsi into the pitcher, tilting the pitcher or pouring down the side to minimize foaming.
Garnish and serve
Add lemon or lime wedges and a few cherries to the pitcher or offer them on a garnish plate. Serve into glasses filled with ice, about 12 fl oz per glass.
