Method
Prepare glass and garnish
Build the cocktail
Add 6 large ice cubes (or a large sphere) to the chilled glass until nearly full. The larger the ice, the slower it melts and the less dilution.
Measure 2 oz Hendrick's Gin with a jigger and pour it gently over the ice and cucumber slices.
Hold the bottle of Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic at an angle and gently pour 4 oz tonic down the side of the glass to preserve carbonation. Pour slowly to avoid excessive fizz and loss of bubbles.
Using a bar spoon, give the drink one or two gentle turns to marry the gin and tonic without flattening the tonic.
Squeeze the lime wedge lightly over the top of the drink to release a few drops of juice, then drop the wedge into the glass if desired.
Finish by threading the cucumber ribbon over the rim or floating it on top as a garnish.
