Cocktail Base

Method

Preparation

1

Prepare rim

On a small plate, combine the coarse salt and Tajín. Run the lime wedge around the outside rim of a rocks or coupe glass. Dip the rim lightly into the salt–Tajín mix, twisting to coat evenly. Set the glass aside.

2

Measure ingredients

Measure 2 oz house-infused pineapple tequila, 0.75 oz orange liqueur, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz agave syrup. Place them into a cocktail shaker.

Mixing & Chilling

3

Add a generous handful of ice (about 1 cup) to the shaker with the measured liquids. Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the shaker feels very cold to the touch. This both chills and slightly dilutes the drink for balance.

Serving & Garnish

4

Fill the prepared glass with fresh ice if serving on the rocks (or leave chilled if serving straight up). Double-strain the cocktail from the shaker into the glass to remove small ice shards and any pulp.

5

Garnish with one dried lime wheel placed on the rim or floated on top. Optionally, give the dried lime a light squeeze before dropping it in to release a faint aroma. Serve immediately.
