Method
Prepare Glass
Mix Cocktail
Combine ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz Bacardi white rum, 1 oz sweet & sour mix, 1.5 oz pineapple juice, 1.5 oz mango juice, and 0.25 oz fresh lime juice (if using).
Add ice and shake
Fill the shaker with ice, secure the lid, and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until well chilled (shaker becomes cold to the touch).
Assemble & Finish
Strain into glass
Strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass over the fresh ice, leaving a little space at the top for the Blue Curaçao.
Add Blue Curaçao float
Carefully pour 0.5 oz Blue Curaçao over the back of a bar spoon held just above the drink surface so it sinks slowly and creates a layered 'wave' effect. Pour gently to preserve layers.
Garnish
Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a mango slice on the rim and add a maraschino cherry on top if desired.
Serve immediately with a straw and a stirrer so the drinker can mix the Blue Curaçao in to create the 'Mediterranean Wave' effect as desired.
