Ice Cream Scoops

Method

Prepare Serving

1

Chill or cool the serving bowl (optional)

If you prefer slower melting, place the serving bowl or dessert glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes before scooping the ice cream.

2

Remove the ice cream from the freezer about 2–3 minutes before scooping so it softens slightly for clean scoops. If the ice cream is very hard, let it sit at room temperature 5 minutes instead.

Scoop and Assemble

3

Scoop the ice cream

Use an ice cream scoop or large spoon to form three even scoops. Place the first scoop in the center of the chilled bowl or glass, then arrange the second and third scoops around or on top so you have three visible scoops.

4

Add sauces (optional)

If using chocolate or caramel sauce, drizzle about 1 tablespoon of your chosen sauce over each scoop (approximately 2 tablespoons total) in a decorative pattern.

5

Add toppings (optional)

Sprinkle the chopped nuts and/or sprinkles evenly over the scoops (about 2 teaspoons nuts and 1 teaspoon sprinkles). Place a maraschino cherry on top if desired.

Serve

6

Serve immediately with a spoon and a napkin. If you chilled the bowl, expect slower melting; otherwise enjoy right away.

7

If leftovers remain, cover and return to the freezer as soon as possible to preserve texture.
