Preparation
Prepare the Glass
Wet the rim of a chilled cocktail glass with a lime wedge, then dip the rim into pink grapefruit salt to coat it evenly.
Mix the Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine the mezcal, Italian aperitivo, saffron liqueur, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice.
Shake
Shake the mixture vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
Strain and Serve
Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass. Optionally, add ice if desired.
