Pomodoro Sauce

Method

Meatballs Preparation

1

Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

2

Form Meatballs

Using your hands, form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

3

Cook Meatballs

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until they are browned and cooked through.

Pomodoro Sauce Preparation

4

Sauté Garlic

In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.

5

Add Tomatoes

Add the canned tomatoes to the saucepan, breaking them up with a spoon if using whole tomatoes. Stir in the basil, salt, black pepper, and sugar.

6

Simmer Sauce

Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer. Cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.

7

Combine Meatballs and Sauce

Once the meatballs are cooked, add them to the Pomodoro sauce. Allow them to simmer together for an additional 5-10 minutes, letting the flavors meld.
