Steamed Milk

Method

Cooking the Oats

1

Prepare the Oats

In a medium saucepan, combine the rolled oats, water or milk, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the oats are creamy and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

Cooking the Apples

2

Sauté the Apples

In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Cook until the apples are tender and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.

Making the Brown Sugar Mousse

3

Whip the Cream

In a bowl, whip the heavy cream with brown sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Be careful not to overwhip.

Steaming the Milk

4

Steam the Milk

In a small saucepan, heat the milk over low heat until hot, but not boiling. Use a whisk or frother to create a frothy texture.

Assembly

5

Serve

In serving bowls, spoon the cooked oats, top with sautéed apples, dollop with brown sugar mousse, and drizzle with steamed milk. Enjoy!
