Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Fries

Peel and cut the potatoes into thick fries. Rinse them in cold water and pat dry with a kitchen towel.

2

Fry the Potatoes

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potatoes in batches for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels. Season with salt.

3

Prepare the Batter

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Gradually whisk in the beer until the batter is smooth and thick.

4

Batter the Fish

Dip each fish fillet into the batter, ensuring it is well coated.

5

Fry the Fish

In the same oil used for the fries, carefully place the battered fish fillets. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

6

Serve

Serve the battered fish alongside the crispy fries. Optionally, add lemon wedges and tartar sauce.
