Crab Cakes
Spicy Remoulade
Method
Crab Cakes
Prepare the Mixture
In a large bowl, gently combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, chopped green onions, beaten egg, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper. Mix well but do not overwork the crab meat.
Form the Cakes
Shape the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. Place them on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
Fry the Crab Cakes
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the crab cakes for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Spicy Remoulade
Mix the Remoulade
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, hot sauce, lemon juice, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth.
