1

Prepare glass

Run a lime wedge around the rim of a chilled coupe or rocks glass. Spread the smoked sea salt (or kosher salt) on a small plate and dip the rim to coat lightly. Set the glass aside.

2

Build and shake

Add the blanco tequila (2 oz), Cointreau (0.75 oz), fresh lime juice (0.75 oz), cranberry juice (0.5 oz), agave syrup (0.25 oz), fresh orange juice (0.25 oz), and two dashes of Angostura bitters into a cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup).

3

Shake vigorously

Secure the shaker and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is well chilled and slightly frosted (this chills and dilutes to balance sweetness and acidity).

4

Double strain and serve

Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared chilled coupe or rocks glass (use a Hawthorne and fine mesh strainer if available) to remove small ice chips and any pulp.

5

Garnish

Float a lime wheel on the surface and thread three fresh cranberries or an orange twist on a pick as an optional festive garnish. If you used smoked salt on the rim, the cocktail will have a subtle savory note that complements the citrus and cranberry.

6

Serve

Serve immediately. Sip and enjoy — the Holiday Inn balances bright citrus, warm tequila, and a hint of bitter and smoke for a festive cocktail.
